25 reviews for Red Dot Mount for Winchester Model 94 and 1892 Barrel

  1. Philip

This mount is beautifully machined, integrates seamlessly, mounts the red dot as low as possible, installs easily, and, in general, is a first class piece of work.

  2. Rick

I mounted a Vortex Venom on a Marlin 1894 with this mount. Excellent design and well worth the money.

    • Turnbull Restoration

Thanks for the feedback Rick! Glad to know it worked out well for you.

  3. Dr. G (verified owner)

First off- i didnt want to make any permanent changes; drill and tap. This is a classy way to mix all the benefits of modern technology with a classic firearm. I couldn’t decide between buckhorn, peep, or a 4x. There is nothing faster than a red dot in the brush…I cant wait until elk season to try it out!

  4. Tristen Dik

Would this fit to a 1886 lever action?

  5. Will Griffith

Would it work with my Miroku Winchester 1873 in 357 mag?

    • Sara Turnbull

Hi Will, thanks for asking about that. It’s only designed to work with an 1892 or 1894. You could probably get it affixed to your 1873 barrel, but it won’t be a perfect fit and it might have a hard time staying firmly affixed after several shots.

  6. Mark Roosa

My new Winchester 92 IMHO is the best pistol caliber lever action ever made. At my age (61) I cannot focus on the factory sights. The Burris red dot solved this problem and was a breeze to install.

  7. William Abbott

Mounted up on a 1906 model 94 30-30. Used Fastfire 3 red dot. It worked but used all the elevation of sight to get on target at 50 yards using 140 and 150 grain bullets. Got a newer 94 in 32 special, ordering mount for it today.

  8. tommy

any idea if these will ever be back in stock?

    • Sara Turnbull

We’re anticipating they’ll be back mid-November of this year (2020).

  9. Richard Ryals (verified owner)

I bought two of these and mounted them on a Winchester model 94 Trapper, and on a model 94 Big Bore .375. They fit perfect and were easy to install. The Burris Fastfire mounts very low and I can get a good cheekweld. I love this mount so much I’m wondering it it would fit the barrel/dovetail of the Rossi model 92 and the Mossberg 464? Thank you.

    • Sara Turnbull

      Hi Richard,
Glad to hear they’re working well on your 94s! We haven’t tried them on a Rossi or Mossberg before, so I can’t guarantee they’ll fit. I’d recommend trying yours out before you order another one. Let me know what you find out!

  10. Joe Battig

Please make a barrel mount for the Model 71.
I can not drill my Winchester.

  11. Pete (verified owner)

Excellent product. Easy to install. Has held its zero over hundreds of rounds.

  12. RIch

Could you tell me if this mount will work for the Mod 94 – 357. I bought in early 2000’s

    • Sara Turnbull

      Hi Rich,
Yes, it should work on your rifle. It fits most round barrels. If you’re unsatisfied with the fit, please contact us and you can return it for a refund, less $5 shipping.

  13. Dave

Do you have any plans to produce this to fit Marlins?

  14. Chuck T.

Would this mount also fit a Miroku B92 44 mag?

    • Sara Turnbull

      Hi Chuck,
Yes, this mount will work with your rifle.

  15. Steve Zimmer

Will this fit a 1954 Winchester model 94 30-30 win

    • Sara Turnbull

      Hi Steve,
Yes, this should work on your rifle.

  16. Gerry

Will this mount work with a Holosun HS510C.

    • Sara Turnbull

      Hi Gerry,
No, it will not work with a Holosun sight, although you may be able to purchase an adaptor plate. Here’s a website that lists the different mount footprints:

  17. Peter Bracegirdle

Looks great, would you send one to the UK? I have A miroku Winchester 1892 limited edition. Happy to pay postage even duty if required.

    • Sara Turnbull (verified owner)

Thanks! Unfortunately we can’t ship these internationally.

  18. Nicholas SL

This looks awesome, I can’t find any other like it. Could I get one sent to Canada?

    • Sara Turnbull (verified owner)

Thanks, Nicholas! Unfortunately we can’t ship these internationally.

  19. Richard Wayne Mondor Jr (verified owner)

Works perfectly for my Miroku Win 94 in 450 Marlin. Ran it through its paces today sighting in the Vortex Venom 3 MOA and never budged after finding zero – didn’t see torque value mentioned so went 25 in/lbs and blue loctite.

    • Turnbull Restoration

Thanks for the kind feedback! Glad it’s working out well for you.

  20. Roberto

Hi, can this be fitted in a Winchester model 63? or the barrel diameter would be too small?

    • Sara Turnbull (verified owner)

      Hi Roberto,
While we haven’t tried it on a 63, I don’t believe it would fit, for the reason you mentioned.

  21. James

Will the Sightmark Mini Shot A-Spec Reflex Sight work for this base on a Model 94 Trapper? I think this will be a great solution for what I’m lookin for. Thank you.

    • Sara Turnbull (verified owner)

      Hi James,
I’d recommend checking out this article, or getting in touch with the manufacturer of the optic to find out what the footprint of the base is:

  22. Norvelle Kennedy

Will the mount work on an 1894 octagonal barrel?

    • Sara Turnbull (verified owner)

      Hi Norvelle,
It will most likely not work well. You might be able to get it on the barrel, but I would anticipate it would loosen/shift over time, so it’s not recommended.

  23. Hamish

I have a new 1892 Miroku Winchester 24 inch Deluxe octagon takedown. I am very fortunate to own that rifle. Beautiful gun, Grade V stock. I also have an Aimpoint H2. Will this mount work with an Aimpoint H2? If not, what about a Trijicon MRO please? I would be very interested to know, thank you. Hamish

  24. LarryDawg (verified owner)

What a fine mount! I put a Vortex red dot on my vintage Winchester 94. Works great!

  25. John B Pursley

will this work on a Uberti 1885 High Wall 45-70 Gov’t Single Shot Rifle?

    • Sara Turnbull (verified owner)

      Hi John,
No, unfortunately this is not made to work with an 1885.
