Turnbull Restoration Highly Finished Arms Catalog
In 1897 Winchester published the first “Highly Finished Arms” catalog. The catalog featured illustrations of various rifles to showcase “the variety and styles of engraving, inlay-work, checkering and carving done at the Winchester Armory”.
This catalog features the original Winchester factory illustrations and descriptions as they were shown originally in 1897 shown side-by-side with rifles restored and upgraded by the craftsmen at Turnbull Restoration & Manufacturing Co.
The rifles shown in the color photos were built by the craftsmen at Turnbull Restoration & Manufacturing Co. using the original catalog descriptions and illustrations as a guide, as well as examining original “high-grade” rifles.
The craftsmen at Turnbull Restoration & Manufacturing Co. have spent thousands of hours re-creating these arms down to the smallest detail. To our knowledge this is the most complete and historically accurate set of “Highly Finished Winchester Arms” ever assembled.
