It’s a theme that comes up time and time again when helping our customers understand the ins and outs of restoring their gun (or not, as the case may be):

It’s for the memories.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our work is helping keep these memories and stories alive – the memories of family members that take possession of and pass down these classics from generation to generation. The stories of the original manufacturers of the firearms we restore. So many times, the decision to restore comes down to this.

Ronald Jones, one of our valued customers, captures this theme perfectly in his own recent blog post which he has kindly allowed us to re-share. You can read the story of his restored Ithaca Flues 20 Gauge Double here, where Ronald honors the memory of his grandfather and pays tribute to the craftspeople of the Ithaca Gun Company.
