Latest Update: November 13th, 2020

Turnbull Restoration Family,

We are committed to providing you the best possible information during this time of uncertainty. For each of us in our various locales, things are changing quickly in response to public safety needs related to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Services:

In response to the latest governmental guidance in New York State, on Monday, May 18th, 2020, Turnbull Restoration will reopen for full service. The exception to this is our showroom, which will be closed to the public starting on Monday, November 16th, 2020. Please note that non-showroom services remain fully operational. Please see Shipping/Receiving below for relevant details.

We remain committed to the safety of our staff during this period. Turnbull Restoration will follow all reopening safety guidelines put forth by state and local officials.

Products:

All in-stock, ready-to-ship products as shown on our website are available for purchase. Please see Shipping/Receiving below for relevant details.

Shipping/Receiving:

We have resumed shipping out firearms to customers provided the dealer they choose for the transfer is open and has been deemed “essential” by their state government where applicable. We are receiving firearms and parts for service quoting and work. Turnbull Restoration is currently not open for firearm transfers into our location, nor are we currently shipping out to other dealers in New York State.

Updates:

Things are changing rapidly. We will do our very best to provide you with the most up-to-date and accurate information as possible. We will continue to use our email system (subscribe here) to send out updates, and will post them on our blog for convenient ongoing access. We invite you to contact us with any questions.

We are beyond thankful for all of your support and understating during these uncertain times. We are a family, and we will beat this together!

Hi Turnbull’s! I am not familiar with New York laws regarding shipping a shotgun into the state for estimation purposes. Are you able to take a shotgun shipped from Pa? Our dealers are considered essential business and are open. However, I would check, but don’t think I need to send a shotgun to you for estimation on repair work, thru a gun store or gun dealer. I have a Fox Sterlingworth recently inherited, but left packed in what appears to have been cosmoline. Conseduently, there is some rust on the case receiver, but the barrels appear to be ok. Please let me know if I can ship this to you now, of if we need to wait. Thank you.

Hi Terry, thanks for reaching out. We’re able to receive shipments every day, so you would be able to ship it in now if you wanted. However, we won’t be able to get into the offices to quote the work out for you until we’re allowed to reopen. I’d recommend sending it in now so we can get you in the quoting queue for when we can get back to work.
      Thanks,
      Sara

      Hi Steve,
We’re discussing the possibility of curbside/touchless drop off right now. We haven’t finalized our plans, but I’ve made a note to reach out to you when we figure it out.
      Thanks,
      Sara

hi, can you ship your WWI 1911 to California FFL? Thanks.

      Hi Benjamin,
Thanks for contacting us. Unfortunately our 1911s aren’t approved for sale in California. If you were able to find an approved model there you could send it to us for refinishing. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
      Thanks,
      Sara

What is the turnaround time on a Winchester model 1901 10 shotgun that needs both re-blued and the wood refinished?

At the moment we’re looking at about an 14 month turnaround for a full restoration without replacing any parts.
