Since the introduction of the slide-action rifle by Winchester in 1890, their rimfire repeater, popularly coined “gallery gun”, had dominated the market. John M. Browning’s Model 1890 design was followed up by the Model 1906, eventually to be replaced by the streamlined, internal-hammer Model 61.
This example from 1960 is in fine condition. 24-inch round barrel, chambered for .22 Short, Long or Long Rifle. Weaver scope and base.
