This is a special Turnbull 1886 chambered in .45-70. The rifle was built for auction at Texas Motor Speedway to benefit Speedway Children’s Charities. The Turnbull 1886 is the most accurate replica of the classic Winchester 1886 on the market. This particular example features a straight grip and the Turnbull signature color case hardened crescent butt plate. The barrel and magazine tube are rust blued and other parts have all been charcoal blued. The receiver, hammer, lever, crescent butt plate and forend cap have been case colored. Engravings include those of Speedway Children’s Charities, 7th Annual Celebrity Clay Shoot, and NRA Sports. An outline of the state of Texas and lone stars are engraved as well. The rifle shows almost no handling marks aside from minor dings on the forend and bottom of the stock.
