Winchester 1886 Turnbull Thumper

Description

This “Thumper” built by Turnbull Restoration & Manufacturing Co. using a Winchester 1886. The Thumper Model is designed with a 16″ barrel and uses a custom 50 Express load with a 650 grain bullet.

Features include a 16″ rapid tapered octagon barrel, 3X fancy wood, pistol grip butt stock, H-pattern checkering and “hook & eye” sling swivels. The engraving pattern is a compilation of the factory #6 and #3 patterns with flush gold animals and gold wire (on breech & muzzle of barrel as well as the hammer and lever and forend cap).

The hammer and lever are color case hardened, the barrel and magazine tube has been rust blued while the remaining parts have the charcoal blue finish.
