Description
This is a new Turnbull Model 1886 chambered in .45-70 Govt., one example of our reproductions of the original Winchester Model 1886 designed by John Moses Browning. The big-bore lever action rifle features a 26″ full octagon barrel and full-length magazine, extra fancy American walnut stocks, “H” pattern checkering in 24lpi, and a 1″ red rubber recoil pad.
As with all Turnbull models, this Model 1886 sports period-correct finishes including: color case hardened receiver, lever, hammer and forend cap; rust blued barrel and full-length magazine; charcoal blued small parts; hand-rubbed wood finish in classic Winchester red.

My Turnbull 1886 was not the one as advertised but a 45-90/45-70 I purchased 4 years ago, The gun still amazes me on beauty, reliability and most of all accuracy….. 10 out of 10 times hitting a 8″ plate at 180 yards with Hornady factory ammo in 45-70 350grain bullets, I’m envy of everyone when I break out my Turnbull 1886, it has not taken any North American game as of yet but I promise you it will…..
