The Marlin Model 336 is a lever-action rifle and carbine made by Marlin Firearms. Since its introduction in 1948, it has been offered in a number of different calibers and barrel lengths, but is commonly chambered in .30-30 Winchester or .35 Remington, using a 20- or 24-inch barrel.
This example is a Model 336CB manufactured in 2001. It is chambered in the ever popular .38-55 Winchester, making this JM-stamped example all the more desirable.
The re-worked stock has the contours of Marlin stocks from the late 1800s. Excellent figure. Refinished with TruOil.
A period-correct blade front sight has been added, along with a Montana Vintage Arms Vernier aperture sight. Sling swivels have been added.
