Colt 1911 U.S. Army, Previously Restored – SOLD

It’s one thing to own a Turnbull-restored 1911; it’s another to own one that was featured in a magazine article. This particular pistol boasts both, complete with a framed copy of that article, signed by the folks who worked on it, as well as a custom handmade wooden case. We restored it to its original charcoal blued finish, re-cutting the markings and replacing the worn grips with period-correct grips. This is a fine example of an early piece of American history, brought back to its original condition.
