This is a Winchester Model 1886 in .50-110 WCF that was purchased by the previous owner in 2014 and restored to factory letter that year by Turnbull Restoration. Carrying serial number 42489, this big-bore legend is dated from 1890. The antique lever gun was subsequently purchased by Doug Turnbull in 2022, and is now up for sale.

This Winchester firearm letters as a standard rifle in .50-110 WCF, color case hardened, with crescent butt plate and factory sling swivels. 26″ full octagon barrel, full magazine tube, plain trigger. Restoration work in 2014 included re-barreling and re-stocking, factory-spec polish and finishing. Today, the gun shows minor handling marks consistent with normal use (see photos).
