Very fine and crisp, Smith & Wesson “Third Model Russian”. also referred to as New Model Russian revolver. Long one line English barrel address of the Standard Commercial Model Third Model Russians. Has “1874” date stamped on left side of frame, one of 60,638 Third Model Russians made by Smith & Wesson from 1874 to 1878 both for export to Russia and commercial sales in the United States and abroad.
Markings and mechanically excellent. Retains 85% fine bright original nickel plated finish, the balance fading to a gray metal.
