Open Range, “Klufas” Model
Sold
Description
This open Range revolver has undergone a complete transformation to what is know today as a “Klufas Model”. The Klufas name comes from the late Jerry Klufas, a master gunsmith and craftsman. Jerry would take old and tried original Colt SAA revolvers and current production Colt revolvers and re-build them in to functional works of art. His best know conversion was to convert the grip frame to a birds head style, install one piece ivory grips, install a Bisley style hammer spur, shorten the barrel to 3-1/2″ and install a dovetail front sight made from a Mercury dime.
The holster and dagger in the photo above were custom made as part of this set. The holster is a cross draw shoulder rig with a built in sheath for the dagger. The dagger handle has the Turnbull Restoration & Manufacturing Co. ‘Turnin’ Bull” logo scrimshawed in to the ivory handles.
