Marlin Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine

Sold

Description

This is a very nice little Marlin 1894 saddle ring carbine that has been restored back to life.  This carbine actually had a great bore when it came through our door but the exterior of the rifle left a bit to be desired.  Not a trace of original finish was visible anywhere, and a few extra holes had been added to the top and side of the receiver for various sights and scope mounts.  Through very careful welding, polishing and machining work we have repaired the holes and made them undetectable.

The stocks on this rifle are original and have been restored with the same attention to detail as the receiver.  The barrel polish work resulted in a very thin and hard to read barrel address and caliber marking.  Both have been re-applied using the correct vintage dies and stamps.

The restoration effort on has rescued a very nice little carbine that has been restored to “ride another day”.
