Marlin Model 1881, Factory Engraved, Gold Plated

Description

Tired and worn out would not even begin to describe this Marlin Model 1881when it came through our doors.  Chambered in 40-60 Marlin, which is actually the same cartridge as 40-65 WCF, this is an extremely rare factory engraved, special finishes Model 1881 with a special order gold plated receiver and a nickel plated barrel, magazine tube and lever.

This Marlin has been fully restored using the original stocks and a new barrel.  A complete metal polish, engraving re-cut, stock restoration and checkering re-cut have returned this rifle to its original beauty.
