L.C. Smith Wildfowl
Sold
Description
In 1924 shortly after the introduction of the Fox “Super Fox” water fowl gun, L.C. Smith announced its “Wildfowl” model, a long range water fowl gun. The Wildfowl was heavier than the standard field-grade Smith and had a special reinforcing web between the barrels at the breech to handle the 3″ shells when the gun was ordered with 3″ chambers. The Wildfowl was offered in both 30″ and 32″ barrels and was choked with extra-full chokes.
This L.C. Smith Wildfowl has been completely restored including a complete metal polish and re-stamping of all receiver markings. The original stocks were used and restored including reinforcing the butt stock head to help prevent & eliminate cracking behind the lock plates.
