Description
This 3rd generation Colt SAA has undergone a complete transformation to a 1st generation configuration, as well as custom engraving upgrade. The upgrade work included enlarging the cylinder flutes; beveling the front of the cylinder and ejector housing, beveling the trigger guard, and a complete metal polish.
Using the original Colt “Sears Gun” engraving pattern as a guide, this Colt Single Action Army has been custom engraved with extensive coverage engraving, gold wire inlays on the barrel and cylinder and a custom “Coat of Arms” inlaid in gold on top of the back strap. The revolver is also fitted with two piece pearl grips.
The entire revolver is blued using the original Charcoal Bluing process used by Colt until 1940. The hammer is Color Case Hardened, while the screws, trigger, cylinder base pin and ejector rod head are Nitre Blued.
