Colt Model 1911 – Mfg. 1912
Fully restored Colt Model 1911 manufactured in late 1912. The polish on this pistol is an example of the Colt factory’s shift away from the early “high polish” found on approximately the first 3,500 1911 pistols. This change in polish was the result of the Military requesting a “non-glare” finish that would reflect as little light as possible.
This pistol has been restored to original the same condition as the day it left the Colt factory in 1912. The grips are new manufactured grips to original Colt specifications. Period correct polish and Charcoal Blue finish with period correct “saw & punch cut” two-tone magazine.
