The Winchester 1894 is a classic lever-action rifle that has been a favorite among hunters and collectors for over a century. Originally penned by John Moses Browning, the model has gone through many variations and calibers. This Model 1894 example is of the the Saddle Ring Carbine variety, chambered in .30 WCF.
The carbine was expertly restored by Turnbull between 2007 and 2010. The factory-original, field grade wood was upgraded a the time of restoration. Locking lug, barrel and magazine tube are replacement examples from another 1894 of similar vintage (i.e., not reproduction parts). Fired three times since restoration. Although well-maintained since its restoration well over a decade ago, this 1894 shows minor storage and handling marks.
