Description
A true piece of Americana, this Winchester Model 1890 Second Model was built in 1899 and represents one of John Moses Browning’s most enduring and popular designs. Widely regarded as the quintessential American gallery gun, the Model 1890 earned its reputation in shooting galleries, carnivals, fairs, and small game fields across the country, becoming a favorite of generations of shooters.
This example was professionally restored by Turnbull Restoration in 2010 and remains in excellent condition. Chambered in .22 WRF with a 24-inch barrel, it features an excellent bore and retains its original wood, which was restored rather than replaced. As a result, some original staining remains visible, adding character and authenticity to the rifle’s storied past.
For Winchester collectors, Browning enthusiasts, and admirers of historic American firearms, this Model 1890 is an exceptional example of one of the most iconic rimfire rifles ever produced.
