Winchester Model 1885, Previously Restored

Description
Built in 1893 and restored in 2014, this Winchester Model 1885 High Wall remains a fine example of John Browning’s legendary single-shot design. Chambered in the sought-after .32-40 Winchester and fitted with a 30-inch octagon barrel, it retains its original barrel with a very good bore.
In 2014, the rifle underwent a careful restoration and upgrade. The original wood was replaced with upgraded walnut, giving the rifle an attractive presentation while preserving its classic late-19th-century character. It is configured with a plain trigger and exhibits the clean lines and balance that made the Model 1885 one of Winchester’s most respected sporting and target rifles.
The sale includes a copy of the factory letter from the Cody Firearms Museum, documenting this rifle’s place in Winchester’s production history.
A handsome and historic High Wall from the golden age of American firearms. This is an excellent opportunity to own a storied Browning design, restored by Turnbull Restoration.
