Added to our pre-owned collection today is this Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle chambered in .38-55 Winchester. This example of the John M. Browning-penned classic originally shipped in 1906. A copy of our Cody Firearms Records Office search is included.
This example has several special features that were ordered from the factory: 22-inch half round/half octagon barrel; takedown frame; 1/2 magazine tube. Has Lyman #21 peep sight installed, but it is not notated on the Cody letter.
Metal condition: honest patina.
Bore condition: very good, shiny, no pitting
Mechanical condition: good, no issues, takedown is tight
Wood condition: solid, no cracks, not refinished, proud of metal
