Starting with a factory-new Winchester Model 1892 in .44 Rem Mag, the Hunter’s 20-inch barrel keeps things lively in hand, striking that balance between quick handling and steady accuracy. We’ve added a one-inch Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad to soften the punch, making long days in the field easier on the shoulder. And for those who appreciate the precision and speed of today’s optics, we’ve installed a dovetail-mounted Picatinny rail. It’s perfect for red dot sights that deliver faster target acquisition and increased confidence in low-light hunting conditions (optic not included). For traditionalists, the factory semi-buckhorn rear sight is still included, ready to go.

Of course, no Turnbull is complete without a nod to the timeless artistry of America’s classic lever guns. The hammer, lever, and forend cap are finished in our signature bone charcoal color case hardening, offering a flash of Old West beauty every time the rifle cycles.
