This U.S. Fire Arms Mfg. Co. SA Sheriff Model revolver is a finely tuned tribute to the artistry and function of the Old West. Chambered in .45 Long Colt with a 3-inch barrel, this short-barreled classic offers quick handling and timeless appeal. Serial number US1066 showcases the height of USFA’s craftsmanship—built in the historic Colt Armory in Hartford, and further elevated by a host of expert enhancements that make this example a true standout.

Turnbull Restoration brought out the best in its metalwork, applying our renowned bone charcoal color case hardening to the frame and loading gate. USFA’s own lustrous dome blue sets of the barrel and cylinder. The hammer features fine jeweling, adding a subtle but striking detail. Custom grips by Dan Chesiak are adorned with a barbed wire scrimshaw motif on the bottom, masterfully engraved by Sandra Brady, blending frontier flavor with hand-finished elegance. Inside, the revolver has been action-tuned by Jim McMahon of Cowboy Gun Works, delivering a crisp trigger and smooth, reliable cycling.

This Sheriff’s Model is in 90% overall condition, showing honest holster wear consistent with light carry use. It includes a beautifully crafted leather holster by Will Ghormley, original box and documents, the original USFA logo sock, and its factory grips.

Altogether, this is a custom-enhanced example of an already rare six-shooter—ideal for the collector who appreciates fine American craftsmanship with a personal touch.
