Presented today is a used .38 caliber Colt Police Positive revolver. Wearing serial number 1478, this vintage double action revolver left the Colt’s Manufacturing Company in 1905 (first year production). The Police Positive was designed primarily for sale to federal, state, or local law enforcement agencies.

This original Colt revolver’s condition is good overall, with some age-appropriate pitting and surface wear. Trigger, screws, and top of hammer all show some original nitre blue. All internals are sound.
