This Colt Police Positive revolver, serial number 188434, was manufactured in 1923 and chambered in .32 Colt New Police—the cartridge Colt marketed as their own take on the .32 S&W Long, distinguished by its flat-nose bullet. A favorite among police departments and plainclothes detectives of the era, the Police Positive paired reliability with refined styling, and this example captures that spirit beautifully.

Restored by Turnbull Restoration in the mid-2010s and expertly maintained since, this revolver wears a rich, period-correct high polish blue finish that showcases Colt’s iconic lines. The original hard rubber grips remain in great condition, with sharp checkering and no cracks. The revolver features a 4-inch barrel, fixed sights, and the safety of Colt’s Positive Lock system.
