A classic American service pistol, this Colt M1911A1 was manufactured in 1940 and later restored by renowned craftsman Steve Moeller, with Turnbull Restoration completing the project in 2002 using our period-correct charcoal blue finish.
In keeping with Moeller’s philosophy, some original handling marks were intentionally preserved rather than polished away, lending the pistol an honest character collectors will appreciate.
All parts appear original, the bore remains in excellent condition, and only light handling and edge wear have accumulated since the restoration and finish work. An exceptional example of a pre-war Colt brought back with restraint and respect for its history.
