The first “54” I ever owned was purchased for the princely sum of $350 when I was 12 (1959) shooting for Fork Union Military Academy. Great balance and Anchutz supplied “micro-meter” sights. Shot my first 3 position “possible” (100) with it.
Couldn’t have a beta first target rifle.
